buying 2001 audi a6
 

I am now considering buying a 2001 a6 with 43k miles. Are there any issues or problems I should be aware of? Is this a good year? How expensive is the maintenance schedule?

I just bought a 2001 A6 2.7t this past weekend. I would suggest checking for a cam seal leak on the back of the motor. Also check that the rotors are not warped. Those are the only two things I'm aware of to check. If the vehicle has less than 50k miles it should still be under warranty...

If it's the 2.7t engine, then the OE coolant sensor should be upgraded to the latest OE unit and the TBB should be inspected for tears or degradation. Also the control arms should be checked for wear.
