ok- more help on my 91 V8- how to check tram. fluid level? - 7/29/2007 5:42:12 AM    DLHO   Posts: 9 Joined: 7/28/2007 Status: offline i did discconnet battery- its still in safe mode- i think you are right low fluid- there is a red plug if you will on the back drivers side of engine- its says ATF DEXRON- in a tube- to add fluid- but no stick?  i want to ad the right amount and fluid!! Wont be presice, but close to. You need to go to the dealer and buy a dipstick from the parts counter, then warm up the tranny and check the level. The same idtio at Mercedes apparently decided that the engine oil didn't need a dipstick either for a few years, you have to read the dash to tell if the oil is low!!! < Message edited by Reckless_Kelly -- 7/29/2007 7:33:29 PM > (in reply to DLHO) Post #: 15
