I just got cat backs installed in my 2007 S4, and now im looking for a new intake. the only problem is choosing it, so far, im looking for a cold air intake but I'm not sure if thats good since it rains in california and i hear water can easily get into cold air intakes :(  so are there any other suggestisons?

if i do go with a cold air intake can anyone point me to a good brandt? the only 2 i know so far are just the carbonios and stratmopsheres hyperflow,
are there any other ones that are good??

na, i live in cali and no problems with the intake. I have Evoms, and im not sure if they make it for your car. you dont really feel gains , but with your car i dont know if youll feel it or not.

alright, Im thinking of getting the carbonio  intakes. The only problem i see is that on their website, they list intakes for up to the B6 A4 models, and my S4 is a B7... so does that mean the intakes wont work if i buy them?

and no i havent dynoed my car cuz i dont have the machine :(

I read a report posted on the net (B7 4.2) where they tested a conical cold air intake sytstem vs the audi airbox on a chasis dyno with identical atmospheric conditions, and the audi box outperformed the cold air in flow and had consitantly lower air intake temps. I bought a BMC filter for my audi airbox. If you search you can probably find the data I read. Good look.

that reports wrong, I asked around (Carbonio, Audi dealership, and my mechanic friend) the airbox experiment/test data was faulty and adding any kind of CAI increases perfomance
