I have a set of front and rear shocks from an 03 4.2l quattro non sport suspension A6, I want to put them on my 00 2.8l quattro non sport suspension A6. Some websites say the will fit others don't. The oem part numbers do not match but that could be for many reasons.

part numbers are:

03 4.2l
Front: 4b3-413-031
Rear: 4b3-513-031
00 2.8l
Front: 4b0-412-031
Rear: 4b5-513-032

The fronts should work since the actual part # 031 are the same but the rears I would guess won't. Anyone know for sure on the front or rears.
