Default Time to put money into the A6, what to do (maintenance)

I'm about to collect a bonus from work, and I would like to put about 2000 - 2500 into the Audi to get it in better running condition. It has 140k on it, V8. What kind of stuff should I do/look for?? Any thoughts?

WHen was the last time the timing belt changed? Have you serviced the transmission? What has been done in the last 25K?

Get the service records from the dealer or repair shop who worked on it, or talk to the previous owner. It's tough to prioritize the work that's needed if we don't know what has already been done. You don't want to pay for stuff you don't need.
