Default REVO...just installed

Well...i could not wait and went and had my ECU Flashed with the REvo software.

observations:

1) lots of kick...

2) under load (ie: sub 3000rpm 3rd,4th...) it will grumble WOT ..does this go away with driving or something to expect

A much different car.... however seems I sacrifice some driveability...the stock program you could just pound on the gas at any RPM without a problem... My car is totally stock otherwise..perhaps there are other items that need attention?

3) I left my car running after a longer run and opened the hood to 'take a peek'... the turbo was glowing orange/red.... and this lasted a couple of minutes..

Is my experience typical for a chip? Looking for some feedback

tks!
Hayes

Get a DV and a high flow panel filter K/N or Green.
did you get a sps controler?
The flash is set on low boost 9 from the shop install, but with the sps 3 controler you can go all the way up to high boost 9.
And play with timeing depending on OCT fule you are using.
I have had my car set on high boost for 5 months at about 10k miles now and had no problems. Thats 22psi.

Yes you absolutely need a new diverter valve to handle the extra boost that the revo software forces it to put out. Most people on the forum use the diverter valve made by Forge. It's about $130 and is necessary when you do an ecu upgrade such as the revo.

^^thats not true.

most people around here use the 710N DV, which comes off the Audi TT, you can pick it up online or at an audi dealership. it only costs around 30 or 35 bucks and it will handel your extra boost just fine. so you dont need to waste $100 on a DV that you dont need when you get one that will work fine for 30
