The front end of my 2000 A4 is super chipped. I think the woman who owned it before me (big mistake buying a chick's car) drove behind gravel trucks or something. Its Santorin Blue Pearl and I was wondering what my options are. Can I get just the hood/bumper sprayed? Can they match the color well enough? Should I just get the whole thing painted? I need a seasoned veteran's opinion and guidance. Thanks.

Seasoned veteran...ehhh dont have the ago fro that. To be honest your best bet would be to take it to a body shop you trust and get their estimate. However, you can just get the hood and bumper painted, and a good shop should be able to match the paint, however pearl or metal flake paint can be notoriously hard to match. also the paint on the car will most likely be a bit faded so they may have to blend the paint by spraying the front quarter panels to help easy the transition best of luck mate

I appreciate the help. I think I'm going to go ahead and get the whole thing painted because I just noticed some really nasty scratches in the rear bumper and both rear doors.

keep in mind repainting a car actually LOWERS its value when u go to sell it. It certainly won't pay for it self when it comes time to sell.

Yeah but that means to a potential buyer there was some need to repaint it...like an accident or some type of water or fire damage. Also, they don't know if the repaint job is of as high of quality as the factory paint.
