Ditch the Camry...errrr...Lexus. Drive the two Audi's and then the Lexus and there won't even be a question about which direction you should go. Now, between the other two....I'll let those more experienced than me speak for that.

Test drive them both, and have whichever one you like best inspected by someone who knows Audis. At least check everything - and I mean everything - out yourselft. All windows, A/C, radio settings, etc. I see a lot of forum complaints about getting the Audi and then finding some little thing that doesn't work but costs a lot to fix.
I would only consider a quattro. The 3.0 makes 250hp but you can't really mod it. The 4.2 makes over 300hp and you can't really mod it either - but it comes with a lot of power. For a couple $000 more you get a car that is 3 years newer. Mileage - you didn't tell us.
Why ask an Audi forum if you should buy a Toyota or an Audi...what kind of answer did you really expect? PS - The Lexus will probably be more reliable than either Audi but it won't be half the fun to drive.

Correction, the 3.0 makes 220 horses, kind of sluggish, the IS300 would provide more exitement off the line if that is what your looking for. (But your highway comfort plus looks wont even get near to the Audi's in a Lexus). Really your answer depends in what you are looking for. If your young, first car, looking for a fast and fun car to zip around town your probably better off with the Lexus. If you got money to spend in maintenance, your good to go with the 4.2 as your posibilities are endless (probably can get that beast to 500+ horses) with great long distance highway cruising (believe me, the A6 IS comfortable! lol I can drive mine for HOURRSSS). If you want a nice overall car, and dont have SO much to spend on maintenance get the 3.0 if it is Quattro like the guys say. It is still pretty quick in the higher speeds, and your wife/gf + kids/friends will be thankful. Whatever you do, best of luck.
