Default What is up with this?

So like it does not happen all the time, but what is up with when you quickly step on the peddle to get up quickly the car hesitates to get up and then pushes you forward and you feel just like this big delay like the car wasn't really ready for you to do that, almost like it is seconds late when you push the pedal down, i have a mazda 6 too that does this, is this just how the car is?

Presuming you have an automatic? Something is quite weird with the way the computer shifts 1-2 on these cars. It won't let you rev out in first gear. It shifts to second at like 3000RPMs, and that is probably where your hesitation is. It drives me nuts. There is a way to put the car into sport shifting mode. I would have to reread the manual to verify how to do it. Something with the way you put the throttle down. Once I got my car into this mode, it will hold 1st to near redline and get up a LOT faster without a premature shift to 2nd.

I drive in sport mode all the time and it still does the same thing, I thing 1st gear is just short, that and the turbo lag when you stomp on the gas.

THE OTHER THING TO KEEP IN MIND IS THAT WE DON'T HAVE A THROTTLE CABLE. EVERYTHING IS ELECTRONIC
