Default 6 piston Brembos

Has anyone done the 6 piston Brembo conversion on a B6 A4? I found a somewhat close shop that sells them for $2200 or so, and it seems like a bargain compared to what I paid for the Baer brakes on my Chevelle. They would seem to give slightly better stopping distances than stock, but be extremely fade resistant if I ever decided to go to the track. Not sure how much I would need that on the street, but they sure look nice and would really drop anchor when you need to stop. It seems to me like you would need to change the proportioning valve or booster, but they said the stock hardware would all work fine with the 6 piston brakes.
