I want to do something else to my car and not spend money since I just got the windows tinted.  I wanted to see if you can take the yellow reflector off of the blinker light.  I looked at it and I have no idea if it can actually be done.  Any help would be great! thanks in advance

There is a better way than the drilling and breaking up the reflector (which could end up sctratching the silver reflective surface inside your headlamps).  Is also involves removing the headlight housings, but using a heat gun (carefully) to soften the adhesive and seperating the lens from the black housing. Then the orange reflector is simply snipped out, and the two halves are glued back together.

Check out this writeup I did a couple of years ago when we did this to my 2001 2.7T.  It includes a link on how to remove the headlamp housing without removing the bumper, and a link to the silver stealth bulbs:

Hope this helps, and let me know if you have any questions!

I used a heat gun when I did mine, and it was really quick.  I think a hair-dryer would probably work fine, but would take a lot longer.

alright I shall try to obtain a heat gun...also for those of you that know i don't have a manual...could someone tell me what kind of light bulb i would need to get for my blinker if i replace it to be white...i would just need a part number or some way to ask if they have them at the shop.  Thanks...working on finding another place to order a manual from that wont rip me off

Just an idea for the manual.  This is probably where I'm going to get mine from...I don't think their prices are too bad compared to the prices of used manuals on eBay.

I read the thread that Boston Driver posted and found the kind of turn signals....about how much time does it take for both of them to be done? under 2 hours?
