whoa... you're getting the same turbo as me. I was bouncing the 3071 and 3076 around in my head, but after you said the second two numbers did affect spool/lag all that much I opted for that one.
I'll be contacting arnold around Christmas to start putting it together and have it ready for end of Jan.

yeah you'll like the spec i dont have any experience with the lighter weight flyhwheels but the billet steel is very nice. 1000-1100 seems the best idle for no chatter sounds

The 3071 and 3076 both spool just about the same time and the 2 main differences is that you can make another 50-100hp more or the 76r but the respool of the 71r is faster than the 76r.
Im also throwing it around in my head about going with the Boostfactory manifold with it. It will have a minor increase in lag (which my extra 222cc should take care of) but will have a much bigger top end power. And being FWD, thats where i need it the most.

Well i got my replacement turbo today. The first one i never got and filed a paypal claim. I now got a nicely used ko3s for the time being. hoping with the minor increase in power output of the turbo and displacement for another 20-30whp and tq. Should be fun if i ever get that bastage back!!

Those things can only take 8-9psi on the stock pistons and maybe 12psi on stock rods from a t-28. I want to run a sh!t load of boost!!

I payed $160 for the turbo shipped and never got any word from him and just before 30days passed i filed the claim.
Wondering why this turbo i got has the water lines pluged.... HHMM. My brothers passat is the same way. Makes me think.
Wonder if i should swap compressor housings so i can get rid of the muffler on the compressor outlet.

anyone want a used ko3s? I might be stuck with 2 now. I so F'ING HATE PEOPLE!!! Buy a turbo, get fu(ked by them not sending it, filed a paypal claim, and on the last day of the claim, paypal calls the seller and the f'er sends it out. BTW, i just got the other one i ended up ordering yesterday. Now im stuck with 2 f;ing stupid turbos.
