lol, i wonder how that will pan out. its gonna be wierd. you'll be spooled at like 1300 rpm. but seriously you will probably be throwing the turbo out of efficiency quicker now. a 2.0 1.8t i built a while ago is doing really well with a 3076r. very fun motor. the cars i have out there with 35r's arent fun to me personally. they make huge power but you will always have to downshift. but with the 2.0 you should have at least 10 psi around 4000 rpm.

im not to worried about the ko3 since the 2.0t's use the same turbo and at 10:1 c/r.  Thats why im thinking the 30/40, still have the huge compressor  but still have the gt30 turbine wheel.  If a 1.8t can spool a gt35r w/ a equal length manifold at 4700rpms, i should ge able to get the gt3082r w/ .63 to spool ~4500, less if i go with a pagparts new cast manifold and jet hot everything.

What compression will you end up running? This with a AEB head and cams im sure a 3076 will give you the numbers your looking for....you have me thinking now....!

Compression is dropped from 9.5 to 9.25:1.

Adam@ unitronic made 475whp and about the same in tq with the HKS .72 t25 housing (about the same size as a t3 .63) from pagparts with the uni630 file @4bar and 29psi on 116octane.  He has drop in rods, stock AEB head, 007 intake manifold, and full 3" turboback.  With cams, more psi and larger injectors he can surpass 500whp easy.  Uni is already working on a 870cc file.

Hope so.  I have less moving parts.  I might try to get a short runner intake or get a .82 housing just incase, so i can move the tq out some so i can trade low end tq for more top end hp.  So many choices.  Im going to have to talk to a few people to help me decide.  Including all of them have already told me to just get a 35r

I have seen a gt30r 225 have its haldex eat itself.  Not sure if it was just power or something else involved.  Arnold has done it, i would ask him if i was you

i'm guessing it's something else, hpa has said their TT "gottzilla" runs with just a custon controller to throw more tq in the rear faster and they are even surprized with how reliable the car has been, never had a problem yet since it's build.

and thats a twin turbo V6 running on the 225's transmission if i'm not mistaken, so i dont see why you would have problems with a gt30r, besides a clutch upgrade obviously.

I know they make the gearing kit im sure that would help some. Like you said if you can try to control the torque then you should be ok. Thats whats going to eat the internals.

Finally, some good news.  The shop said i should be fully complete and ready to roll this weekend.  I just had to order a clutch just now since mine was a little on the worn side.  Plans were to reuse the stock clutch until i went BT soon but the fact is i wont have the funds for it for some time and the stocker wont last very long.  I just went ahead and ordered a VR6 kit from ECS since it was only $354 (had to pay tax and got spark plugs) with free shipping.  The nice thing is that i live in OH and it is next day shipping so it should be here tomarrow since the order was placed right at noon.

Finally the shop wanted to make sure the a/f was good so he wants to run it on the dyno to set the boost and a/f withen a comfortable range.  So hopefully i will have a working car and a dyno of a 2.0T with a ko3s and downpipe.

Yes it does.  it even has "Nick was here" on the windshield from a fellow dubber that dynoed at the shop.  Think seeing my car there is making him ditch his GLI for a TT.

Your right, but thats because of his massive drop.  My only problem with those are they are still stock TT wheels and 90% of every 225 has them.  I cant be like everyone else
