I have a 2000 A6 2.7T and im gonna put 19" OE RS4 replicas on my car in a few weeks, but the website im ordering from says that for the 2.7t i would need spacers.... Is this true and would they come with the rims??
I also want to lower my car maybe 1.5" without killing my wallet , is the H&R cupkit a good choice? and should i get it lowered at the same time i install the rims..?????

need a little more info on rims.. what's the offset?
yes I would lower it at the same time OR first.... or it'll look funny with 19's and a huge gap.
Eibach has a decent kit that would drop the car just enough I think. Just don't do springs only.

The important data is the offset.
You need to make sure the rims clear your brakes and that they are about at the edge of your fenders or in a little.
I had Cks with Et35 that where perfect, my RSGT's are Et38 and fit well but are a little in the fenders, doesnot look as good but can't use spacers as low as I am.

My buddy's A6 had the Eibach springs with Koni Yellow shocks and it is perfect interms of looks with his rims (19's with ET35) sitting right the edge of the fenders and handles great. it also is not as rough as mine with the H&R springs.

Drew, I answered your e-mail and sent you pics of my car next to my buddy's so you can compare the look with our different suspension setups. Both have 19's, I ahve BBS RS-GT's ET38 and he has RH RAT ET 35.

I like the look of your setup much better.... How much is your car lowered?? I dont want to sacrifice too much ride quality, but want a very aggressive look..... the rims come in 35 42 and 45 mm offsets. which combo do you think would look the most aggressive? and is there anything i can do to either the front or rear bumpers of the 2000 A6 2.7t to give it that aggressive look? I have no problem finding kits for A4s and newer A6s but not mine.....

Mine is lowered 1.75 and 1.9.
Mine IS lower than his but also harsher in daily driving. But it is my daily driver and I am ok :) My wife doesn't like it though.

Get 35 offset and the stance will be more aggressive by having the wheels at the edge of the fenders.

For the front end, there are various replacements, LLtek sells on as part of the R6 kit which I like a lot. It looks like an RS6 front end made for the A6 narrow body, probably $1500 all in though once painted.
You can also get the R6 side sills or get some 4.2 door blades (will have mie installed soon:) )
Back to the front, Also get a all blacked out grille wiht no audi rings and you'll get a much more aggressive look. I have seen people also paint their lower front side grilles (fog lights) body color. matter of taste.

the front end above comes shorter reducing the long overhang look of the A6.
(used to ) Require euro front support bars and need new fog light, than pint... hence th ehigh price. Front end itself is about 700-800 bucks

I'm running 19x8.5's on my 4.2 with 10mm spacers. That gives mine a 25mm offset beacause I have the bigger hp2 brake set up. I agree with formulagigi about filling out the gap in the fender. Gives it a wider more aggressive look. Good luck.

Are those 4.2 doorblades possible for the 2000 2.7? or the Rs6 side sills? Im going to go with the 19" with 35 mm offset and lower it 1.5 front and back i think with the eibach pro kit...

^ yes, you can get the 4.2/S6 door blades on the 2.7. I bought them, easy install, just a few screws, they fit right on and look just like the ones on the silver A6 in the pic above. Will give your car a much wider aggreessive stance especially when lowered.

For the rear, LLtek has the R6 rear end too to match the front and side sills above. Looks real nice just like an RS6. Check their site.

1.5 is nice drop, not too much but definitely enough to notice. It'll look hot with 19's. Now as i said in one of my first post, do shocks too, not just springs. or your stock springs will wear quicker and the car will tend to bounce. It is a little annoying and then you need to pay suspension labor cost again to install new shocks. Save yourself the trouble and $, get shocls now as you get springs.

Also a great handling mod is the Hsport Sway bars! AWESOME!!!!

Forgive me but what are side sills?  Are they the flaired door blades? If so where can one get these?  Dealership or is there a place that makes them aftermarket?

I also wanted to say that I second formulagigi's note about replacing the shocks and the springs at the same time!!!!  I did the springs alone first and my car bounced like a dropped civic...it was mad embarressing.  The guys at Butler tires didn't tell me either...not that it was their responsibility, I am sure they were happy that I paid twice in labor.  But I have the 1.3/1.4 Eibach with Koni sport shocks...soooo nice too.  I put the RS6 Hyper rims on mine 18x8.5 35mm offset....now I am waiting for my rs6 spoiler to arrive.  Hopefully I will be able to post some pics here soon.
