A8/S8 old model prices

Hi!

As my family may shortly be moving to the Emirates, Dubai to be more precise, we've been considering buying a a fairly nice car. We've been looking some at the 7 series, for instance, but I'm kind of intrigued by maybe getting an A8. 

I was kind of wondering if anyone had an idea about the second hand value of these cars, especially, of course, in that specific area, but whereever you live is appreciated, for the sake of the knowledge, I suppose. :P Also, how doe the S8 compare to the A8, in your opinion. I realize that since you are on these forums, you must think it's a fairly good car already, but even so, I'd like to hear your views on it, if you feel like expressing any..

Maybe if you've tried both the A8 and some 7-series versions, how do they compare?

Sorry of this is a stupid question, but it is galvanized (that the correct word for it?) against rust, right?

You lucky bastard, all those arabs have such nice cars, they buy Lamborghinis like they're shoes. Unfortunately I can't compare the cars, I haven't driven any of them.

I aint no arab! :PI'm Norwegian, so when you consider the insane amount of money we have to pay for cars up here, you can probably imagine why we're drooling at cars like this when moving for a while.

I said those, I see you are form Norway, in the United Arab Emirates there are Arabs. I got nothin against either.

galvanized iscoating metal with zinc, I think?? Rust proofing is not the same.

Before buying my A8, I did test drive a two year old BMW 740 (old shape), and I was going to buy it before being persuaded to test drive the A8.<o

The A8 is not galvanized, but the whole car is aluminium, so it will not rust, just be careful in car parks, as the slightest bump will be expensive.

We know somebody who ownes a porsche 911 and he had a testdrive with an S8... He said it was just unbelievable andperformes like a porsche.

The S8 is just more exclusive then all the "normal" A8's driving around.
