Default Help save my new S3!!

Hi guys,

Just bought an '03 S3, it has had the 19" A8 rims fitted to it. What I have just discovered when I took it to get the roadworthy certificate (something we have to do to register a car in Aus when we purchase it) I found they had put new springs on the rear and just cut the front and left the stock shocks on. The front is rubbing on full lock now. None of this is considered roadworthy over here

Took it to a specialist and he has recommended HnR springs with new shocks all around. Also he has mentioned that I can get Eibach for the same price. Here is where I need help as I am a complete noob:

1. Eibach vs HnR, significant performance difference?
2. Brand of shocks make any difference?
3. What are coilovers and why would I choose them as opposed to spring/shocks setup?

Thanks.
