I bought a 1998 Audi A6 with 55,000 miles on it about 3 weeks ago now, and have been noticing some strange problems once in a while. Sometimes when you turn the car on, the air, turn signals, lights, and radio do not seem to work. Turning the car off and back on fixes the problem. This has occured twice and I was wondering if anyone has had similar problems. It's due for an oil change on the 9th, so I plan to ask the dealership then and any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Very strange. I wonder whether there's an electrical link between all of those components and the ignition switch. If so, then the problem might be within the switch - maybe a bad contact. Just guessing here. If you can get it VAGed before you take it in, you will get the truth. The codes don't lie, whereas the dealership may stretch the truth to get more money from you. Do you know anyone with a VAG-COM in your area?
