wrong. the S2000 is faster. that's becuase torque in and of itself is meaningless.
hp is much better at giving an overall idea of how fast a car is, hence the reason horsepower is what sells. torque doesn't win races. that's just an incorrect statement.
if you want to look at torque, then you must factor in every aspecet that involves torque.... this is torque at a given rpm, gearing, and wheel circumference. to determine force output to the wheels, you use this formula.
torque(at a given rpm)*current drive gear*final drive gear/(wheel circumference*pi)

Next time you're there, mention to them that I have some bootleg cans of cherry-scented tire air that is scientifiically proven to be faster than the blueberry and chocolate air they're currently using... I'll let them have it at *cost,* $20.00 per can. It's also been known to improve torque by multiples up to 7!!! So, if you use it in your Mustang... Lessee, 7*302*currentgear*finaldrive=1500. Surely you can beat a S2000 with 1500 lb/ft...
