Default Front End Floating

Hi Folks,

I bought a 2006 A3 last month. I love the car, but I have one issue. On the freeway the front end seems to float around. This is very odd since it handles in corners very well.

Has anyone else had this problem?
Was it something covered under warranty?
How did you fix it? (I assume new suspension, but I wanted to verifiy)[/ol]

Thanks,

Shaun

My "stock" A3 started floating around 145-150mph, so unless you're near those numbers, you might want the dealer to check it out.

Cheers!

Sounds like you might have a problem if it's real bad. The stock suspension definitely floats a bit at high speed. Combine that with the high "boost" setting on the power steering and you might as well be towing a skier. Better suspension did the trick for me. The car tracks much better now. You could always set the steering boost to 0 via VAG-COM if you want it real stiff.
