Default cant read odb ii codes ???

ok hi my name is Torsten, i am brand new to this audi forum and im asking for someones help.


My car started to misfiring.(audi a6 2.8L 1999).
Fix misfiring had a bad srarkplug.
the service engine light came on and now i tried to read the code but the display always reads 8888
and it will not let me read or erase the code.

Any suggestion for this problem.

call the dealership...offer you VIN and they could givie it to you

it took me 2 hours of pulling and cutting, to get the damned turbo when i got it off i kicked back the hood and stood on th engine bay going "WHAT F***ING NOW!!!"

I would go down to auto parts store and see if they have a scanner that you can borrow and see if it is just that your scanner is no good. Thats what i did and i was able to clear my codes.

Thx For THe Help.

After 5 Day Reading in The Internet Im Finaly Find The Problem.
A few Day befor The Problem Started THe But My A Aftermarked Radion in.
And Guyshooked up The K-line on This radio.
Thx the Reason Why I can not read The Codes.
