Default '98 AUDI A4 electrical snafu

Hi! After a freezing rain/cold snap, my auxilary electrical system is on the fritz. The alarm/electric door locks do not work at all. Only the interior map lights work, the radio gets staticy if the rear defrost is on, the buzzers (door ajar, gas etc..) is out, and the gas door has a life of its own. Everything else works fine. When the problem first occured, the alarm started freaking out and the hazard lights started randomly blinking (while the car was encrusted with ice)the problem sounds similar to other posts dealing with the module under the seat...I would like more info if anyone has specific part numbers or other ideas. We have checked all of the fuses and I am in fear of taking it to the dealer (or other repair shop) without some idea of what exactly the problem is...If anyone has any ideas or can help me with dx...plz help!!!!! I have checked all of the fuses and they are fine!!!

Have you checked the battery life and/or connections? I had a car in the past that would do similar things because the battery connections were a loose. Cold weather really drains batteries.
