I am thinking of purchasing a 4.2 A6 from a local dealership, I have already test driven the car and I am in love with the smoothness of the V8 and so many other things as I am coming from a 4cylinder Honda Accord. I will be new to the Audi World soon hopefully and I would love to purchase some aftermarket rims for the 4.2. I love the look of staggered rims, I have searced the subject and haven't read anything definitive about whether a staggered setup will hender performance, so how does 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 sound to the Gurus? If that's not an option would 19x9.5 fit all corners, if so what tire size am I looking at purchasing. Thanks for all the help guys...

most people don't do staggered setups on awd. My understanding is the don't handle worth a crap . I'm running 19x8.5 all around. I know some people that have 9.5 but know how the clearance is. Pic of mine
A lot of People on here dont like staggered rim (but I do) They say it makes the car handeling worst and there's no real benefit of getting staggered. I dont know about that because some say that they cant tell a difference. One Kat said" If your not on the Indy 500, what dose it matter" When I get rims, I'm getting 19x8.5 all around, the front will have a 1" lip and the rear will have a 2" lip so I'll have the staggered look and I can rotate my tires, I'll just have some take the tire off the rim.

A quattro will understeer more than it already does with staggered rims. ^^Capp has a good idea of getting a wider lip on the rears if you want the staggered look.
Any AUDI enginerr will tell you to not go stagerred, if you stay within the same wheel diameter _/+3%, you should not damage anything but it will handle WORSE stagerred.. however most people drive their A6 5/10's to 7/10's and won't really notice. I know pople have fit 9.5 in the back... I have 19X8.5. Like Capachinoo I always recommend the STAGERRED look like the Axis Decade with Maxxis lip. Looks greta like a staggered setup. here's mine The Axis Decade
A stunning new design from Axis that continues the success of the "Maxis Lip", the Axis Decade brings the staggered look of cars that can't accept a staggered fitment. An almost 2 inch lip in the front is paired with an almost 3 1/4" lip in the rear for an awesome staggered look on many cars. Available exclusively in an 18 diameter, the Axis Decade is sure to be an instant classic. The Decade comes in a Hyper Silver finish with a stainless polished lip that is just as lusterous as chrome without being as fragile. The Axis Decade is available in four and five lug applications. COMES in 19 too
