how to tell if my ecu is chipped???
 
i was told that my car i recently bought is chipped prior.. how do i find out ?? is it in the ecu?? giac apr etc.

what year is your car? You can probably pop open the ECU cover under the hood. Then remove the ecu and take it apart and look for evidence of chipping.

it is 98 1.8t awd.. i checked the ecu.. all it said sas intel on one of the chip.. are there supose to be names like giac and apr on it?

i dont have a digi cam.. can you post a pic of a chipped ecu so i can compare please??

If you have installed or have access to a boost gauge, and your car is chipped you will be running around 15 psi, if not under 10psi, as long as your running premium gas which you hopfully are. There is a significant difference if the car is chipped.
