Well, today at 2:00PM Central I have an interview with a possibility of moving up to the nighttime Supervisor for Tech Support at the company I work for. Wish me luck all!
. Oh yes! I'm pretty excited, and my supervisor and manager both REALLY REALLY encouraged me to apply and said how well suited I'd be for the job. I'm crossin' my fingers and am confident I'll do well in the interview. We'll have to see, I'll keep all posted[sm=smiley20.gif]

That's kind of the shotty part. They'd be Mon-Fri(which is good) from 1:00-10:00PM (which would kind of suck) but usually nothing good's going on for nightlife until after 10 anyway...
Well, the interview went well. It was really relaxed and they asked so many questions they ran out. It went a half-hour longer than planned and seemed to be all good things coming from the other side of the desk. They'll be making the decision shortly and will let the applicants know either way, I'll keep ya'll posted. I'm very pleased with how it went so good things!
The most important thingI learned many years ago when I was promoted into a supervisory position was that you're not managing the 'job' that your department does - you're managing the PEOPLE that manage the job. My failure was thatI lost sight of the big picture.
