Default Computer specs?

Let's put our fancy motors where our desktops are and compare rigs:

Centurion 5 case
New exhaust [scytheflex brand]
New intake [forget what brand, but it goes up to 5.8K RPM, in case you ever need to create a black hole in your room]
Gigabyte p-35c-ds3r mobo
C2D @ 2.13ghz [each core]
2 gigs dual-channel Corsair XMS RAM
120GB Seagate HD [SATA]
geforce 8800GTS 320mb PCI-Ex16
Rosewill PCI slot cooler (drops full load temps by 13*C!)
A tube of Arctic Silver
Zalman 9800 fan

---

Here's an unedited picture of what my CPU core idles at:

Full load is no more than 8-9*C. That's proper airflow! At first I thought this BIOS diagnostic tool (that came with the mobo), but I went into the actual BIOS and it was showing the exact same.

How do you feel about wasting ridiculous amounts of money on something so inferior? Macs are useless and overpriced.

I'm not even go start this, all I'm gonna say is that I choose a Mac because of past experience where mac's have been more reliable and also have lasted longer than the PC's I have both owned and worked with. that being said I also prefer the OSX operating system to windows Vista. This is all just personal taste and I'm sure your PC works fine for you.

Haha, I know. I wasn't going to argue about your opinion anyways; I tend to joke around like that alot.

Default RE: Computer specs?

I've got a four-year-old Gateway 600YGR notebook with a 15" screen, running Windows XP Professional SP2, Intel Pentium IV 2.4GHz CPU, 60GB internal HDD, 200GB external Maxtor HDD (for my tunez), 1.0GB SDRAM, USB 1.1.

It's survived all kinds of crap, sitting on my living room table. On my 21st birthday, I was sitting on the couch, then I decided to get up, and immediately fell forward and crushed the coffee table and flattened out the computer. NOTHING happened to it - in fact, the music kept playing. The table was done for, though. Then another time I was having a party, and someone left a Captain and Coke sitting next to it, and my sister knocked it over. Spilled all kinds of caramel color, sugar, alcohol and splenda all over the computer. The only casualty? The keyboard. Replaced with identical unit, $25 on eBay.

I've got a gaming rig behind my hdtv that I don't use. I forget what it has in it but it's really tiny. I have a two-year-old dell notebook that is indestructable and an iBook. I don't really have time to waste on computers, I just need something that works when I need it to (iBook)
