Hey,

I just talked to Evo Motorsports and they have a package consisting a Chip, EVO “Power Series” High Flow Induction System, and a Diverter Valve for 750$. Is this a good deal? I will raise my horsepower 60+ and raise my Torque! my car is completely stock right now, with 79 thousand miles on it, its a automatic w/o tiptronic. is it worth it? will my car be ok with all of it on? im intending to drive my car for a long time, so will it be ok? thanks!

Unless they are reducing the price from $780 it's not much of a savings.
Even so... $810 if purchased seperately. From $750 that saves you $60 or 8%.

BTW: This will not raise it by 60hp (there claim says "up to 65"). It MAY raise it to that level, but I'd expect more like 50.

My advice, if you like the chip, get that and buy the OE upgraded 710N diverter valve. Then you'll have paid less than $450.
If you want a cold air intake, I'd wait and see how you like the chip mod first. The difference, after a CAI, will not be noticeable except for a minor change in sound. If you opt for that later, the final cost will be $730.

I know people arent going out for CAIs just to have a minor change in sound. Am I missing something here?

The argument is that a CAI does not do much good because the turbo heats up the air before it goes into the intake manny. If you use a larger intercooler that will bring the tems of the air at intake down. I do agree with David on the Evo parts, they make good products.
