Default 110 octane gas?

Hey all, anyone know of any problems of using (racing fuel) 110 octane in my 1999 2.8 A4? I know it may run a little hottter but will it burn up my engine? how about mixing that and 92 octane/110 octane...anyone know of problems there? The only things i have done engine wise is a air intake upgrade and some 4-prong NKG R plugs.

if you dont have a chip to run race fuel you r wasting your money. the real gain for race fuel is more for the turbo and supercharged cars. you will not see any gains by using 110. btw most 110 is leaded not good for our cars. just use high test 93 or 94 if you can find it and toss in some octain booser ( autozone pepboys). if you realy want you can use toluene (link) one maybe two gallons...expensive $15 per gallon.

Can only create current across one prong...

4 prongs aka useless.

The above is exactly right.

I can feel the differance between the red plug and 4 prong plugs tho...figmint of my imagination....how about another q for you all...when i bough my car it would easily peel out all 4 tires...it had way more pep than any other i drioce...as i drove it it got less and less until it's about where all the other ones were for acceleration. any ideas what they did to give it the boost so sell the car?

Maturity?[:@]

j/k, probably just more wear on the car robbing you of some power.

How many miles have you put on it since you bought it? Your inability to spin the tires may have to do with your clutch. You sure its not slipping?

Further, its possible that you swapped plugs out that were fouled or the original plugs? Thats why you felt a difference with the 4 prong. Either way, a set of NGK or Denso plugs are by far the best performing plugs out there. Also, after you get used to a car, it always feels slower.

I went from a 160 hp to 250, felt fast as hell. A month later 250 felt like 160, upped to 300 and felt crazy fast. Month later 300 felt slow, then went to 350...month later....well you get the point....it never ends.

Sad but true!
