i read an article that apple is unlocking the iphone and making it open to third party applications... same with the ipods... so before f-effing it up with some hack .. wait for it, i read it on one of those tech blogs....
and what does the iphone have that you really want?? i mean its a phone with a calandar, and other useless crap... the only thing that made the iphone different was that it was part ipod... you have the only thing that made the iphone good (touch screen on a new phone isnt new or that great imo)
doesnt the iphone use google maps though... i dont think it comes equipped with full mapping software... better question yet.. can theitouchipod or whatever its calledconnect to the internet (wi-fi or anything)
I really just want the stright up direction function instead of having to go to google maps, or to mapquest.
The maps application works on the ipod touch now along with weather, stocks and a bunch of other things. It's pretty cool! Plus you can now transfer files through FTP instead of having to go through itunes and stuff. It's really cool!

The ipod touch uses wi-fi. I've posted from my ipod touch before and if I can get the weather function also that would be BA
