When I turn on my blinkers (this happens on both sides) they will blink normally, blink really fast twice, then blink normally a couple times, then stop all together. After they stop, if I turn them on again, they'll work ok. It's sort of nuisance, besides that, I'll probably end up getting a ticket. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I have the EXACT same problem on my 2003 Audi A6 3.0. Is it the blinker relay? This problem is irritating.. I am actually one who uses his blinker and I drive in heavy traffic in Houston, TX.

Blinker suggestions? Help?

Jeff

I think you may find out it is the hazard switch. Same thing happening to mine. Now they have stopped altogether. Even the parts counter guy said it was the hazard switch. RAF

Hazard switch + Turn Signal relay = same thing. My guess would be it's your problem. Pretty easy to replace, just be careful when you pull the surrounding trim.

Alright, where do I get a relay/hazard switch? I don't have a local Audi dealer, so I guess I'll have to order one.
Funny thing: I went on a business trip (5 hour drive) and the blinkers worked the whole way, for two days. Then I get back home, and they do the same crap again. Maybe I have a blinker demon at home

Edit: How does the trim come off?

It was the hazard relay switch. Got it for $26. Fixed the problem.
I used a knife to pop off the trim which is held in place by 4 clips.
Then I used needle-nose pliers to pull out the old hazard switch. Unhook the harness, plug the new one in.
I got the switch from here:

You guys haven't changed your blinker fluid yet, huh? It's okay, easily overlooked.

Good source of regular maintenance fluids. CLICK!
