I heard there was a team in a Lamborghini who already did the same thing. Not sure if the Lambo team broke the record or not. Anybody know of the Lambo record attempt, or can provide a link?

great read!!

A+

god bless america.

kinda off-topic here but i actually did this once, but not in a race.

i was on a 2-month tour with my band that went from new jersey to LA, and by the end of the first month we were driven crazy by each other- imagine 8 sweaty dudes in a cargo van in the middle of the summer for a weeks on end, and you will know what im talking about.

anyway, we decided to break up and end the tour early in LA, and instead of taking 4 more weeks to get back to jersey playing shows along the way, we decided to just go all the way back in one shot. this took approximately 56 hours, with stops in vegas, denver, and ohio for food. we all took turns driving in shifts, and those not driving slept in the loft in the back of the van until we were home.

needless to say when that dusty van rolled back into my neighborhood and i got out in front of my house, i was DONE with travelling for quite a while.

i also drove solo in my old e36 BMW from austin TX to NJ in 36 hours (but i stopped in knoxville for an 8-hour nap), and that was also insane.

what I heard is the current record holder is the E39 M5 from Team Polizei, the previous one was set in a ferrari during last years bull run and before that the record has held by some old Ferrari from back in the day.
