Default Jobless Pt. 2

Well, just as the title says, I'm STILL out of work!! But don't worry, I've got a plan. [&:]

So, my parents startedbuying Nascar diecasts about 8-9 years ago, and got a pretty good collection going. Lately we've been sort of talking about selling some of them. They're pretty good collectibles ($70-75/each new), so I'm finding that some are nowgoing for ~$125-$200/each. They've basically told me that it's my collection, so whatever I sell will be mod/gas/insurance money.

I'm still gonna try to find an ACTUAL job, but my thoughts are that it's probably gonna end up being fast food. Yeah, it'll suck. But it's money.

And that's basically the plan. Just thought I'd share it.

if you want to fly over here, you can have my job.

thats right, im quiting, because i hate my job and i have no freedom. lol

keep looking fora job, the only time they are rewarding is when you get the paycheck and say, "uh... i guess i could work for them a little while longer".

but seriously, try to find a job, first jobs are worth it just for the experience.

good luck selling the nascar stuff

dude my job history has been kinda weird.

technically my first taxed job was last summer with my grade school I went to as basically a maintenance person. But before that I did all these jobs that were tax free and rocked. IE I lined soccer fields for like 4 years, $12 per field and it takes about 30 min to line a field by yourself (you do the math) that was tax free, and before that I reffeered Soccer games (like $12 a game i think, also tax free).

What I'm saying here is you should look into jobs like that, while lining soccer fields isn't the best job it still makes good money and I'm sure you can find some job like that around where you live. But if you gotta work fast food then whatever, money is money, no matter how you make it, every job is a good job and you work that one until something better comes along (summary of a quote from the book ragged Dick, on how to be successful)

Someone else already got hired.

I'll probably try to put in a few more apps before going straight to fast food.

Good luck finding a new job.

Have you tried local stores such as Target and such? (I know you can't work at WalMart).

What about grocery stores? I heard they have good benefits.

The closest Target (or basically any place like that, for that matter) is in Springfield. I've already put in an application at one grocery store, so there's one more that I can put one in at.

What about the mall or movie theatres?

In my area, those 2 places accept a lot of applicants.

get into a trade. I start my apprenticeship as a cabinet maker on monday. jobbank.com has nuff trades, some dont need experience either as they will teach you. I would NEVER work fast food, to much work for such a lil pay.

make sure you check up on the places that you applied to. if you just hand it in, they will forget about you, go back to the places and just say hey, and ask if they have any questions or something like that.

hope this helps
