Default Chrome Rims & Pending Winter...

I recently put chrome rims on my A4 and now that winter is coming and i live in northern jersey.. im curious as to what i should do with them.. Should i just put the stocks back on for the winter or is there a way to perhaps put a sealant or wax of some sort that would protect against road salt??.. any suggestions would be great!

i'd swap 'em for factory if the factory wheels stil have tires on them. I've done it both ways on previous vehicles, and there's nothing like salt and water to pit the crap outta chrome wheels. if you opt not to, a round of chrome polish, followed by a good synthetic wax would be your best bet, but they will require washing to get the salt off... or it's the "pits"....
