I basically have all my credit card info typed in and everything, I am about to buy a gt28rs for my 02 b6. Ive been researching it for the past week, and I think its the turbo for me..it seem pretty reliable, and it seems to have pretty damn good power. I will be running fmic and everything, but what my mechanic friend told me is I wont need new internals,(im all stock)just making sure hes not an idiot by coming here and checking what you guys think...but im going to buy it no matter what...unless somone here has a fucking good reason for me not too.

you need 440 injectors, GTRS manifold (stock one won't work), new 3" downpipe, you'll have to get it tuned as well by revo or unitronics, and of course a FMIC.
new clutch would be recommended as well, but the stock one can handle it for awhile.
thats the turbo setup i am getting as well, so im jealous right now
thats funny, i didn't drive but i rode in a 02 b6 with the gt28rs and it was hella fast!
Yeah when we both get ours set up..we should meet up and race or go to a track..im from kansas if you are close to me at all..i dont want to go to the drag strip, i want to go on an actual track w/ turns and that kinda fun stuff. mine is gonna be a while..prob like 2 months untill its all the way done...and i want get new suspension and breaks and all that fun stuff!!!
sick. grats to you. and yeah the internals are already forged. you would need new rods if you got a gt2871r or bigger but not on a gt28rs
K thats what i thought and herd, but i might get new rods anaways, but im not sure im gonna check around for pricing and how many labor hours it will take to install them..im assuming prob. a lot.
The reason i MIGHT get new ones is because i would probablly kill my self if i bent/threw a rod.
you'll be fine. thats quite a bit of extra money for nothing. people have used the stock rods on a gt2871r .86 AR (not the .64 AR tho) which makes quite a bit more power than a gt28rs
