I'm about to do my 1st oil change on my A6 2.7T and wasn't sure what oil to use. I have just over 110k on it. I've heard Mobile 1 full synthetic a lot but since I have high miles wasn't sure if that would be best.

I have been using Castrol Syntec full synthetic in 5w-40 in my 96 avant. You can use any full synthetic as long as it meets VW 502, 505 specs. It will say it on the bottle. Also go with a good filter, mann preferibly.

I use Amsoil 5W-40 euro blend full synthetic. 130K on my car and love the Amsoil product.

How is important is it to get fully synthetic oil? What is the difference between that and blended? I've always used blended on all my other cars but all of them were american made. Thanks for the help!!
