Default interested in purchasing 2.7t, 2004 s-line, or older 6spd

I am in a bit of a conundrum in deciding which car I think would be a better choice in terms of value and driving performance. The s-line, while albeit slower acceleration because of the auto, has 15 more horsepower, and is also 3 - 4 years newer than the 6-speeds that I am finding around here in Texas.
Is getting a 6 speed that much more fun to drive with, that it would be worth getting a car that is 3 years older, and still the same price (similar mileage too)?
Does the '04 s-line have anything over the 2000-01 6spd, such as better suspension, etc?
Also in terms of performance, If I were to add a giac chip to the car I choose, would the acceleration gain from the extra horsepower and torque be higher on the manual, or equal to an auto?

Just because i have one, i would get the S-Line. Another reason why i would get the 2004 S-Line over the 2000 2.7 is because why would you want to but a car thats going to be 7-8 years old?

If you want to have fun driving your car, you are going to kick yourself in the butt if you buy a tip. S-lines are only tip.

As for acceleration, you are DEF going to be able to accelerate faster with a stick. Chip or no chip.

The acceleration is not slower, if so not by that much. If you chip a S-Line, you will still have 15 more HP and more torque then a regular A6, manual or auto. The S-Line was only built in 2004, so you get rarity with the S-Line. You get the RS 4 rim and RS 6 spoiler that everybody wants with the S-Line. If the price and miles are the same, why not get a newer car, for get the fun factor, look at the value.

I just posted my 04 A6 2.7T 6MT for sale for probably about the same as you'd spend on a S-Line. I live in KC...8 hours from Dallas, not sure where in TX you're from. 26k miles, all options including sport seats, but no nav or rear parktronic. It's listed in the sale section if you're interested.

Also, S-line came with bigger front rotors, stiffer suspension, and was 20mm lower than the regular 2.7s. I have S-line, and believe me it worth going for it.
