hey guys i dont know if this is the right forum but i dont know which chip to chose from either apr or giac. Whch one is best for horsepower but less cost and which one is better for the car(00 s4) so plz help me out. Thanks

Both chips work very well with your car. Forhorsepower the giac seems to take that catagory but i've heard tons on how smooth the apr chip is, really just preference when it comes down to it

APR 93 octane, Hyperboost DV's, gutted pre cats...

any chip will do, theyre all about the same +/- a few HP. it really depends on your future thoughts for mods.
Like BT you would want Unitronics, GIAC, REVO. other than that apr youll have to buy new chip all over again.

This is probably a stupid question however i don't know much about tuning cars. I can take an engine apart and rebuild it but for intance you can chip a 2.8 right?

Pretty muchanycar can be chipped,tuned or what not. They have readily available chips for the 98 and up 2.8 30v,if u got a 96,97 2.812v ur outta luck,u need custom work done.
