there are a lot of exhausts out there for the B5 S4. you can go on youtube and type in S4 exhaust and there are a bunch of videos for you to watch and listen to, to see which type you want. thats what i would do if i were you.

Check out Remus exhaust they have very high customer satisfaction.  They fit factory hangers and have a great sound.

Potentially dumb question here....but do the exhaust systems for the B6 S4 also fit the C5 A6 4.2, seeing as there are very few choices (nearly none) when it comes to aftermarket exhaust for these cars and they share the same engine and similar size?  I don't expect that it would be a direct fit, but I am envisioning that maybe with a few tweaks it could be made to work?  Otherwise, it looks like I will have to cut up the factory system to get some more power and better sound....

Thanks & cheers!

i doubt that it would fit  and the a6 is more of a luxury car than a performance so its gonna be pretty hard to find some premade exhausts

im sure you coud go to a shop and have them custom make you one but it might be pricy
