OOOhh I can't wait, perfect timing seeing ill be in the park for a new car in four years time! Im excited about the forced induction 6.
I share everyones concern with the styling. German auto makers are trying to appeal to entry level business men, not young european tuners like this generation. Or at-least thats how I feel. When a car is that gaudy/blingy looking I feel like I don't want to tune* it, if that makes any sense at all
Yea, I have seen web articles and magazines that discuss the new Bi-turbo 6 for the B8 s4. The car looks sharp, but some of the lines are looking very BMWish. I think pricing is going to be an issue here. Why pay $50K Plus for a new S4 when you can pay around $40K for a new 335Xi that has the same performance or maybe is even a little faster?
Regarding exterior styling of the current B7 generation, there is no quesiton that the S4 has the BMW beat for good looks. imo

European Car has an interview with Audi West Wingers(Top Brass) and they lead you to believe that the company will head more in a direction of turbo-charging smaller diplacement engines. So my guess would be twin turbo 3.0 litre six.......if my opinion was worth anything.
it does look kinda like a beemer but im sure once inside, it'll remove all doubt whos family its in... besides, the FI V6 doesnt hurt either. id pick it over a beemer anyday
I valet part time at country clubs and I have tried the padel shifting... was kind of fun, but i still feel one hand ons teering wheel and one on the shifter seems more natural
its just wierd to always have your arms at 10- and 2-
boosting V8 is like older RS6.... i wuoldnt mind the 450hp

i guess none of you have ever driven a paddle shift ferrari........ those things are soooooo much fun
i am not a big fan of an "auto/tip" car, but i would but a paddle shift version of those........ but not a paddle shift tip car...... like they make now
the ferrari has two gears.... forward and reverse....... you put the little knob in d and paddle shift from there or r and go backwards
I have to differ. I would rather see Audi loose 400-500 kg off the S4 and use a naturally aspirated engine with a high red line. Is there any good reason an A4 or S4 needs to weigh in at what it does when my old Audi 90 with a five banger weighs a touch less than a Mini while having a lot more interior room than any A4/S4? I think the Germans have it all wrong today. They pack way too much crap into their cars, then need excessively complex turbo motors to lug all that excess weight around, generating the expected heat and lubrication issues no gasoline turbo engine has yet to escape, and forcing the driver to compensate for turbo lag and run on. Enough! Build a light car that doesn''t need a turbo, one that revs like a Honda S2000 and makes right now power. Forget all this turbo crapola and excess computer gizmos these cars lug around. My 90 weighs in around 1350 kgs, and if I were to swap the iron block five for the aluminum block 4.2 liter V-8 from an A8 ( and this is the future of my car, 2Bennett Audimotive does this swap ) it will actually loose another 35kg. How about that, a car that seats four in leather lined comfort with a real back seat, weighs less than a Mini with a 310 horse naturally aspirated V-8? You can keep your turbo crap.

well the new s4 is actually getting a new supercharged 3.0L direct injection V6 unit instead of the turbo. at least that whats the articles online have been saying
