Need new exhaust A4 2.8

prosperousJ -> Need new exhaust A4 2.8 (11/11/2007 2:37:12 AM)

Okay, So I heard this rattle from my exhaust. I went to take a look, I never really looked at it before. So back to looking at it, I realize it's not even welded on the piping is just sitting through it, I tried taking it off and theres a Y shaped pipe at the end of the pipe thats sitting through the exhaust so i can't get the exhasut off. Now I am thinking about getting a new exhaust and I want to know what what would be the best for my 2.8 A4. I have seen some magnaflow exhaust that sound good but when I ask people about there exhaust's they say there crap.

So what would you suggest.

Yea i have a 1998 2.8 quattro a4 and am looking to get a new exhaust without spending a hefty amount of cash...any ideas for both of us would be great. Just looking for a nice deep throaty sound.

I got a remus universal exhaust twin turbo silencer for $300 and 2x magnaflow converters for $75 each

i have an APR s4 exhaust that was brand new and i put it on my a6 for about 5 miles.  i realized it was not the sound i wanted.  basically i wanted to just get a stainless exhaust to replace my aging factory and i wanted a close to factory sound.  it is very throaty and sounds good, if i was about 10 years younger.  anyone interested?  i paid 1249 plus shipping for it and its the true dual system with resonator and the stealth tips.  its really high quality and heavy duty.  i will let it go for 1150$ plus shipping.  if anyone is intereste di will post pics.  again, its the true duals that comes down from the cats.
