bazza_200 -> 1994 audi 80 Fuel problem (11/12/2007 4:30:02 AM)

   Today i got home and was trying to start my car and it just wouldn't start i check the plugs they still give a spark.
   I checked the oil n water levels they were alright.
   took off the air inlet n was able to start the car on aerostart but once stopped spraying the car would stop.

So what could it be is it injectors

I also can't seem to find where the fuel filter exists

Can anyone help me

Regards

can you hear the fuel pump prime when you first turn the key? your fuel filter should be on the passenger side bottom of the car, a round canister looking thing, it might be hidden by a gaurd or mounting bracket.

Hey Mate
I couldn't hear any noise also i couldn't find the fuel filter seems to be something had happened to the car before i brought it as the fuel leads has some non standard looking metal pipe with burn marks underneath it of the old pipe. I suppose i learnt my lesson from buying something off family member.

So for now as i need it for weekends i'm just going to shell out for a mechanic hopefully they can fix it. I think it's either fuel pump, lack of a filter and it's clogged wasn't confident in cleaning out all the injectors, or the computer but the timing still works so not sure about that one.

I will post what the problem was when i know

Barry

Hey

Well i found out what it was it was the alarm system that had shorted out the fuel pump so i got that turned off and had to get a new fuel pump but my central locking isn't working correctly on as the drivers door doesn't open all of the other doors or boot however the passenger door does.

Any ideas on what i can do to fix it

Barry
