Default CEL code P0432 would that affect

idle? I just replaced the battery and when i got my car back my CEL wasn't on then tonight driving home it came on went to Autozone code P0432 came up would that cause the rough idle at a stop it dips. It didn't do that before the battery change so would that really cause the idle to go nuts.

What engine do you have? That code is =Main catylatic efficiency below threshold Bank 2.
Means you need a new cat converter on the driver's side.
If its a 3.0L the cat replacement is much dinero $1,000 plus just for the part.
Try performing a throttle body adaption to help with the idle, leave the key in the on position for about 10 minutes and it will adapt itself.

I looked it up on ebahns and it said that but with Heated Oxygen sensors . the people who looked at my car the other day said the cats were ok. I have no clue.. My engine is 2.8L quattro. I just went and did the key in the on position i have 7 minutes left.

Nope, im looking at the factory repair codes right now on elsa web, thats a cat efficiency code.
There is a re-flash for the 2.8L to "de-sensify" the O2 sensors so it won't throw a cat code as easilly, its a TSB (techical service bulletin) that was issued for the 1.8, 2.7, 2.8, and 4.2L engines, so the cat may still be good, it just needs the re-flash.

Default (Auditech PLEASE HELP?) RE: CEL code P0432 would that affect

Auditech... PLEASE HELP!

I recently bought an '01 A6, 2.8with 92k miles and the MIL (CEL) on and took it in to an indy for diagnostics. I was told that I needed new cats, both banks and the indy shop cleared the CEL. Soon after, the light came back on so I bought a OBD reader/clearer from Ebay for $30. I kept checking and clearing the coded and they kept coming back! Then... I did some research online and found the TSB for the flash ECM update and got soooo excited. I called around and the dealers wanted around $200 to do the flash... WHAT A RIP!! I finally found one to do it for $150 so I figured what the heck, better than replacing cats. So I went in with the TSB in hand for the reflash. The guy at the shop brought my car in, did the (unnecessary) diagnostics and then told me the flash was for the 2.7T and would lock up my ECM so he couldn't do it. Then they STILL charged me the $150 and now I'm out $150 and NO PROGRESS at all!!

ARE YOU 100% sure that the flash is also for the 2.8? If so, can you PLEASE provide me with a number or referrence that I can use to tell these idiots at the stealership to fix my car? They said they checked my VIN for any TSB's and there were none. I do remember one of the $200 dealers said that they ran my VIN and I was eligible for the TSB. PLEASE HELP!?!
