Hey guys, I know it’s a small thing, but after performing the clear corner mod on my 03 A4, i noticed that the effect was not complete with the stock yellow bulbs. To remedy the situation, I went on amizon.com and ordered the appropriate SilverStar (iridescent) turn signals for my car and installed them upon arrival. Now, maybe I'm just picky, but I don't think they're blue enough. They still cast a predominantly yellow reflection in the headlight. Anyways, to the real question:

Is it legal to have blue turn signals? How about white? Is there a paint I could purchase to re-spray the bulbs to get more of the iridescent effect?

Thanks in advance for any answers or information as to other locations I could find these answers.

You should check the motor vehicle code for your state. My guess is no, blue is not legal.

Thanks. I didn't know what the resource for traffic laws was called. Stupid me haha. Anyways, I went and found the info I was looking for, for my state (Florida)

The lamps showing to the front shall be mounted on the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable and, when signaling, shall emit white or amber light. The lamps showing to the rear shall be mounted on the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable, and, when signaling, shall emit a red or amber light.

I think the blue blubs do light up white... so, I think they would be legal in the front, I could use my SilverStars for the back turn signals, as they light up amber.

That should be OK. Good rule of thumb is to make sure that no indicator light in front of the rear axle is anything other than white or amber, and no indicator light behind the front axle is anything other than red or amber (except reverse lights of course). That should pretty much keep you out of trouble.
