Default diesel sound ,rattling noise??

Ok so now I've got a new noise from my 2.7t A6. When I take of at very low rpm in 1st gear I hear a rattling noise sounds like a diesel engine for a second or two untill the rpm goes up over 1000rpm. Sounds like slapping valves or somthing am I just not gasing it enough on take off?...Or is It another 3000.00 dollar problem ? I have had the clutch done but the noise was there before I did it.Any suggestions this car is starting to really piss me off!
Thanks.

sounds like oil pressure... but your calling it a new noise. then you said you had it before the clutch was done...?

was the clutch done because of the noise... or did you need a clutch...?

Sorry about that. The clutch was done because in was slipping what I mean to say is the noise has not been effected by thechanging of the clutch and flywheel. When you say the oil pressure are you thinking hydrauliclifters arestarved at the low rpm?

Lifters are a possiblilty. First thing that came to my mind was a bad camshaft adjuster. Both could make noise due to oil pressure problems, but the 2.7 doesnt usually have oil pressure problems.

A mechanic had suggested that the winter fuel mix in the NE may be the problem at real low rpm I will try a frech tank of 94 to see if it helps. If its a lifter problem do you know if the restore oil flush thing that people are talking about works?
