Default Which to buy...advice please

Im looking into buying 2 vehicles, first is a 2004 Audi A6 2.7t with 44k for $19,995. Second is a 2004 Audi A6 with 58k for $18,995. Both are black S-lines. I really don't want to spend more than $19,000 for the car (I'm only 21 years old so $1,000 is a big difference to me) but I think the car with 14k less miles would be the safer choice. I plan on keeping the car for 2-3 years simply because I trade cars often (can't help it, i get bored easily). I figure the one with lower miles would be the smarter choice since by the time I get rid of it I won't have to mess with the timing belt and that maintenance stuff. What do you guys think? Should I just fork out the extra $1,000 for the car with less miles. Thanks in advance.

Get the 2.7 if it runs good! Twin Turbos can't go wrong there

I am guessing they are both 2.7TT.

I would say lower miles are better but also consider the condition of the cars, lookkfor tear and wear in and out... Most important you want the one that has the best maintanance service... cna you get all records for both? If not get th eone thast has them..

Also are they CPO? certified? if not the one with 44k miles is still under warranty and you'll have some piece of minf worth the 1000$. Do they both drive good? no noise? no wobbles or shakig in the steering?.. do a PPI.

If $1000 means a lot to you and you are 19, don't buy an Audi. They are not cheap to run and if you don't take care of it right, you will have expensive problems. You sound like my 17 year old (who also gets bored easily), which means the discipline of taking care of a fine autocar is lacking.

Buy something that requires less care and feeding. It's a shame to see a fine S-line get neglected or, even worse, abused.

I love cars and take very good care of cars. Thats the problem I love cars so much I find something new to take on all the time. I want to experience all the different kinds of cars out there. Anyway I bought the car today. 2004 A6 2.7T with 45k. Everything looks good on it. Carfax was clean, maintenanced every 5k. One owner, Florida car. Got it for $19995. I'm happy with it. Only things that bug me are lack of cupholders, no auto lights or heated seats. Other than that its great, I can live without those luxuries. I will post pictures of it soon. Black S-line looks amazing in person compared to the pictures by the way.

Congratulations for your new car, and welcome to the club!

As for cup holders, welcome again, to the world of German cars. Germans don't put enough cup holders, especially the type you will see in Ford and Cheny Tahoe (which can hold 7-Eleven's Big Gulp) in the cars. Their argument is...why you need to drink when you are driving? So far, they have not changed the cup-holder for Americans, though no one complains about it in Europe. You will see the similar cup holders in Benz and BMW. They are good enough for my diet coke can. This is just a start, you will find my feautures that does not match with American makes. Eventually, you will start loving this car, and will never go back to American/Jap cars.

Though, being European, the ashtrays are plenty, which is good for chain smokers like me.

The real reason they're not enough cup holders.

Haha thats funny and yet probably so true. I do love the car though. Just got to make some adjustments to it. I'm going from a 2005 Nissan Altima SE-R so performance is very similar although it feels way different. But I love the all wheel drive thats a must for me since I'm going to be driving about 40 miles a couple times a week for my second job this winter. Anyway I'm going to go out and take some pictures of my new car and post them.
