Default Symphony bose system question

I'm trying to add an ammp an woofer to my stock system but I am having a problem finding a remote wire I found the thin white wre that seems to be it but It cuts the system out when anything is attached to it i was thinking about adddingb a diode but wanted to know if anyone else has attempted this If it doesn't work i THINK i WILL ORDER A PAC lineout converter the Trunk-loc

Hold your horses there buddy, what year A8 do you have? If its an 04+ model your gonna have some problems.

Why not use one of the wires on the right side of the trunk, im sure there is a few fuses there, you could tap into any of those wires that are ignition switch powered.

Thats what i have now .I just wanted a true turn on / remote , if there was one. I'll keep it like i have it until i change the head unit Pioneer Avic D3

It isn't hard at all given a scale from 1-10 I give it a 4.9 I used the remote wire on the factory bose amp ,which is white . I used a relay on that wire so it doesn't affect the stock amp circuit it happens to be pulsed 12 volts. but it will keep a relay latched
