Default RE: Broken Seat Frame ...

check eBay. I saw someone selling a full set of seats, front & rear, for less than that. alternatively, Shokan.com, dadsauto.com, pamsauto.com are a few other joints.

The ebayer with teh seats (black) have a starting bid of $350-ish, I believe. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=190173793622

if you go for teh whole set, be sure and let me know. It comes with teh armrests, and I've been looking for an armrest replacement. I'll give you $500.00 for teh armrests assembly (armrests, posts, all hardware and screws/nuts/bolts/etc.). Or, I can bid on teh set of seats and soak you for the cost of th eseat you need. Either way...

Shoot me a PM with which way you wanna go, so we don't bump heads in the bid war, OK?

If the frame just broke off at the bolt, then have someone weld in a pin instead of a bolt which will work just as good.

Okay guys ... you are going to love this...

Decided to have an independent Audi Shop fix the seat via welding, etc. ... as was suggested. After taking out the seat they found a Quarter lodged in the lowering gear of the seat. Mind you, I have an invoice with an Authorized Audi Dealer diagnosis of a broken seat frame and a fix of $1490.... which BTW, they charged me $90 bucks for.

Total fix.. 2 hours labor and good as new.

If anyone would like the dealership info feel free to privately e-mail me and I'll gladly warn you about who this was...

I did notify the dealer and informed them of the developments. They requested the invoice for from the indi shop and promised to get back to me.

I have not yet heard a word.
