dual exhaust tips on A6
Hello,
Taking delivery of a new A6 this week... Any discussions here of anyone changing out the single exhaust tips for S6-style dual exhaust tips? Is it as easy as replacing the tips and replacing or altering the rear valance to fit them? Thanks |
RE: dual exhaust tips on A6
I think you may be the first to ask this, well the tips are only about 1ft off the muffler so you would have to cutt really close to the muffler and change the tips to dual outlets.
As for the fitment.......well it depends on how big the dual tips are. |

You're a pretty gutsy guy taking a hacksaw to the valance of a $50k car! If it was me, I'd leave them alone.

Do a search. There are many posts on this. Several written by me.
I have a 2001 and I ordered the 2002 bumper and heat shield. Had a shop do the work and installed 3" magnaflow douuble walled angle cut tips (stainless). Cutting the valance is a half ass way of doing the job. Some people here may disagree.Fitment is killer and it looks very fresh. |

It's a 2008. I can get the S6 valance. Now i just have to find quad pipes that will fit the exisiting muffler..
