unpredictable starting
 

cold start issues on 2007 audi a3 2.0t

1. during cold starts engine kinda chokes or jerks a couple then kicks in. seems to be a typical thing with the a3s
2. happend to me twice so far, dash board looses power for a couple seconds then jumps right on.

Any suggestions since they do not occur often enough to bring it in to service.

I've never had this problem with my A3, but I wouldn't worry about the dash power dropping out. When you turn the ignition, most of the battery's power is going to the starter. Normally you wouldn't notice the drop because the engine turns over immediately and the alternator kicks in, but if it is hesitating while starting then you will notice the power drop out.

Not sure what to tell you about the rough start, but I don't think you have to worry about the electrical problems.
