I saw Sting in concert with Annie Lennox. She was full of energy - he was not.
It seems as though he's happy with where is now and is resting on his laurels. His "performance" was lacking. Sure, he played all the classic tunes - including some Police - but he wasn't "performing". He stood there, for the most part, and sang and played the guitar. If I wanted to hear the music, I'd throw in a CD. Sure, it was cool to see him live, but, if I paid for tickets to see him perform, then I want to see a "performance"! Furthermore, he's got new peeps to back him up and the female vocalist (Joy Rose) sang like she was on American Idol trying to imitate Whitney Housten and Patti LaBelle! Just not what I was expecting. Don't get me wrong; she's a good singer, but it was such a departure from the Sting genre that I was caught off guard.
Any thoughts?

I saw him years ago I think on the Dream of the Blue Turtles tour and he was pretty sedate then as well. I think the Police were the same way, not much action on stage. How much were tix?
Well, he is getting up in age 'bruh. Still has good stuff, but he;s more "matini bar" style casual it seems
Understand what you saying though, wanna pay for a performance. Speaking of some 80's style... gonna go see Prince this Friday.... now THERE'S one to put on a show.
