battery goes dead when shut off,new battery,but other than that runs great help
 

just got my audi back from my brother, he put new battery before he returned it to me,1985 5000s custom 5 cyl. runs great but when turned off, next morning when i go to start it ,battery is dead. checked battery , battery is good. any info is greatly thankful for , salinas

possible parasitic draw, u have an DVOM or amp clamp? check draw on neg battery cable after shutting ign off, there should not be more than 500 mAmps after a minute or so. if u do still have current draw start pulling fuses till the amps stop that will point you to what circuit is staying on.
